Conclusions
There is wide range in explosion energies, Ni masses, and ejected masses among all types of core collapse supernovae.
There is a continuum between hypernovae and ordinary supernovae.
Supernovae of both the Type I and Type II families can qualify as hypernovae (although they occur preferentially within the Ib/c class).
Not all hypernovae have detected GRBs.
The only firm SN/GRB connection is SN 1998bw, which was an extraordinary event in terms of energy and Ni production.
Both Type Ib/c and II supernovae show a correlation between energy and Ni mass, which suggests that their core physics is the same.
